The End of an Era: Legacy Hugs, Pedz and Passport
We have retired all protection solutions on the LonWorks/HPS platform. Support ended on August 1, 2024.
What Does That Mean For My Hospital?
In August of 2019, we announced that we were ending sale and support of the legacy version of our Hugs, Pedz and Passport solutions on the LonWorks/HPS platform. We wanted to ensure you had plenty of time to plan for the migration to the new Hugs platform.
Support for all LonWorks/HPS-based solutions ended on August 1, 2024. Securitas Healthcare no longer provides service or support for Legacy Hugs, Pedz and Passport products.
We continue to schedule upgrades and installs of our Hugs Infant Protection and Patient Protection solutions on MobileView RTLS platform. Key Dates and Explanations
All dates from our original End-of-Life/End-of-Support announcement in August of 2019 remain valid.
No Legacy Hugs will be sold after January 1, 2024.
Legacy Hugs tags are final sale. We will not accept returns or give credit for unused tags.
No LonWorks/HPS-based Kisses, Pedz and Passport tags, hardware and software will be sold after August 1, 2024.

Securitas Healthcare will no longer provide service or support for Legacy Hugs, Pedz and Passport products after August 1, 2024.
No Service and Maintenance Agreements (SMA) will be valid after August 1, 2024.
Securitas Healthcare will not issue LonWorks/HPS updates or security patches after August 1, 2024.
